FOTOGERD Blogs bio picture

Gerdie Francisco aka FOTOGERD

Hi!  Welcome to my photo blog!

FOTOGERD is what I like to call
myself when I'm wearing my photographer's hat.  When it's off, I am
busy composing music for television and advertisements.  That's how I
spend my time, using my gifts to give glory to my Creator.

I photograph anything under the sun.  However, my skill was honed under Imagine Nation Photography
as a Wedding Photographer.  However, I am now undergoing cancer treatment so I am taking a temporary leave from shooting weddings.  So meanwhile, I will concentrate on other areas of photography.

This blog journals my life as a photographer.  Here you'll find my
recent wedding photographs and other images I love to capture.  I enjoy
taking photos and I hope to walk you through the beauty around us.  So
at the end of the day, we all will say, "Truly,God exists!"  :D

God bless you!

ANTON + MIA

VENUE: Chapel On The Hill/Sonya’s Garden
VIDEO: Wang Videography

It was a ‘white’ wedding.  The couple requested everyone to be in white, including ‘us’.  ;)

But Mia specified that only she can wear a non-white dress.  :)  And this one’s  non-traditional too.

antonmia5
Wedding preparation was in one of the casitas at Sonya’s Garden.

antonmia2
Mia loves to ‘retouch’.

antonmia3
Our handsome groom, Anton.

antonmia4
Ladies in white.  :)

antonmia7
This cake caught me by surprise.  It is one of the most beautiful wedding cakes I’ve ever seen.  Its designs are Filipino folk traditions.

antonmia8
Take a look at one of the designs - Filipino folk life.  Do you see the carabao?   Amazing!

EMIL + GLENDY

VENUE: Santuario de San Antonio/Forbes Pavillion
HAIR AND MAKE-UP: Madge Lejano and Felicity
VIDEO: Wang Videography

I like Glendy’s bouquet.  Simple.  Fits her personality and matches her gown.

emilglendy1
Emil created their ‘then and now’ video.  Also a techie but most of all, sweet.  :)

Getting ready…

emilglendy3
The kiss then the tight embrace.

emilglendy7
Emil and Glendy requested for this shot.  I especially like the boys and their poses.

emilglendy4
This little darling said the longest grace that I’ve ever heard in a wedding reception.  And he’s got no notes on hand.  In other words, his prayer was impromptu!  Adorable little boy.  :)

emilglendy6
Are they married or just friends?  ;)

JOE + JOHAN

VENUE: Chapel On The Hill/Splendido
VIDEO: Wang Videography

It was a cool afternoon in Tagaytay and yet Johan was as hottie.  Of course!  It was her wedding day.  Something we all were excited about.  Our shots were fashionable.  As if she was entereing ‘the next top bride model’.  ;)  Well, it was fun and our bride was ‘kewl’.  Meet Johan, also a make-up artist.

I wish we had snow on this one.

johan2
And on this one, most specially.  It reminds me of one of those Narnia movies.

johan4
And last, meet Joe.  The love of her life.  :)

MARK + AMOR

VENUE: Mt. Makiling, Los Baños, Laguna
HAIR AND MAKE UP: Madge Lejano and Felicity

One of the interesting weddings I’ve covered.  This was at Mt. Makiling in Los Baños, Laguna.  It was my first time to be there and also see Philippine High School For The Arts ( were some of my colleagues in music studied ).  Mark and Amor had a rather intimate wedding.  Relatives and closest friends.  And!  Took the plunge with their wedding clothes.  Kewl!

markamor4
Mark is a photography enthusiast too.  Together with his brother who happened to be his Best Man for his wedding.

markamor1
The vows.

markamor8
It’s usually petals at the end of the ceremony.  But these are LEAVES!

markamor7

One of the best salads I’ve ever eaten.  If not the best!  Yes, it’s got fern plant in it.  ;)

markamor3
Great view of the metropolis on top of Mt. Makiling!

markamor5
This pic reminds me of the folklore, “Ibong Adarna”.

markamor6

And… the kiss in the pool.  :D
